Our mission is to strengthen the lives of individuals with disabilities by creating inclusive opportunities for community involvement, access to meaningful employment, and better options for independent living.
Volunteering at IC
Inclusion Connections is a Johnson County, Kansas nonprofit which works with youth with developmental disabilities. We utilize volunteers for all programming, open to teens, adults and groups. Our goal is to create an inclusive atmosphere in our community.
Service Dog Training
Through our partnership with Paws for Freedom, members and peers are involved in the hands-on training of service dogs. Once a dog is trained, Paws for Freedom finds an appropriate individual for placement. People with developmental disabilities helping people with physical disabilities!
Coming Soon: IC PawsAbilities, a program which will make and distribute dog treats and toys.
We are excited to announce a second location, IC North, located in Liberty, MO! IC North just wrapped up its first Summer Camp, which was a great success. Members and Peer Mentors participated in fun activities, including learning about photography, working with a golden retriever Pet Partner, doing yoga, Zumba, and science experiments, and worked out with the Liberty HS Sapphire Dance Team!
