Inclusion Connections’ annual signature fundraising event, Gala FashionAbility, was one for the books! Local celebrity Rex Hudler, color commentator for the Kansas City Royals, pitched in to help raise record funds with the help of a sold-out crowd of supporters who bid on Silent and Live Auction items including an unexpected, last-minute addition of a behind-the-scenes Royals’ experience with Rex. Inclusion Connections’ participants and volunteer peers performed in an exciting fashion show which shines the spotlight on hopes, dreams and future job ambitions. Proceeds from the event support Inclusion Connections programming for teens and young adults with developmental disabilities, including the highly touted PawsAbilities employment training program.
