INCLUSION FOR LIFE

Families of individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities have many different needs. The individuals we serve and their families have the same hopes and dreams as their nondisabled peers. They strive to be included in school, recreation, worship, social activities, have meaningful employment and better options for supported living.

Families have a myriad of people, agencies, laws, rules and regulations manage and it can all be overwhelming. The Inclusion for Life Series equips individuals and families with the information and resources they need.

Inclusion Connections hosts workshops addressing barriers, providing education  and identifying resources across the life-span. Examples include but are not limited to:

  • Guardianship
  •  Successful IEP’s
  •  Social Security
  •  ABLE Accounts
  • Johnson County Developmental Supports (CDDO)
  • Post-secondary Education
  • Social Security
  • Options after High School
  •  Accommodations/Modifications
  • Special Needs Trust and Planning
  • Special Education Law
  • Coordination of Benefits
  • Employment
  • Other timely topics
