Our Peer Mentors are the driving force for community change!
Inclusion is at the foundation of everything we do and it’s what sets us apart. Our intentional focus on recruiting, training and including teens and young adults without disabilities is what creates a more inclusive community. To date, we have recruited and trained over 350 volunteers. Peer Mentors participate as helpers, encouragers, friends, and positive role models. As Peers volunteer, they discover the importance of citizenship, understanding the need to give and help others, and gain a sense of accomplishment. Some Peers have become leaders, teachers and employees in our organization.
