Being a Top Model at this year's Fashionability Gala means stepping out of my comfort zone to stand alongside others who inspire me with their courage and individuality.

Why Your Support Matters to Ryan & Ashtin

Ryan Banes is stepping onto the runway for his very first year as a Top Model, combining fun with the chance to support a cause close to his heart. His passion for inclusion began during his time at the University of Kansas, when he volunteered with Natural Ties and saw firsthand the impact that independence and connection can have for individuals with IDD. Now at Country Club Bank, Ryan is eager to champion that mission again—this time alongside Ashtin. Ashtin Miller has been part of Inclusion Connections for six years, where she enjoys classes like Girls Club and PawsAbilities camp. As a student at Olathe East, she also works at Old Navy through the Crews program, building valuable experience for her future. Her dream is to one day live independently and have a job she loves—whether that’s at Bath & Body Works or as a football coach! When she’s not working or studying, Ashtin enjoys bowling, basketball, spending time with friends, and keeping up with the latest TikTok dances

Support Ryan & Ashtin's campaign to help Inclusion Connections create even more opportunities for students like Ashtin.

  • About Inclusion Connections

Inclusion Connections empowers young adults with developmental disabilities to pursue their goals and thrive. From job training and employment at PawsAbilities, to theater, arts, and fitness programs, to the future BelongKC supportive living community, every program is designed to build independence and belonging.

FashionAbility is our signature fundraiser that makes these life-changing opportunities possible and every team on the runway represents the dreams of our students.

  • The Impact of Your Gift

Your donation doesn’t just support an event — it changes lives. A gift of $50 provides transportation so a student can get to work. With $100, you can cover an entire week of job coaching. A contribution of $250 opens the door for students to take part in arts and fitness programs that build confidence and friendships. And a generous gift of $500+ helps us move closer to building BelongKC, our future supportive living community.

When you give to Ryan & Ashtin's campaign, you’re investing directly in Ashtin's dreams and creating opportunities for students at IC to thrive.
