About FashionAbility
Each year, the Kansas City community comes together for this highly anticipated, sold-out event attended by over 700 guests, to celebrate the accomplishments, hopes, and dreams of individuals with disabilities. The evening is filled with excitement—featuring lively onstage personalities, unforgettable performances by our talented students, and both live and silent auctions.
Proceeds from the event directly support our PawsAbilities workforce development program, along with other initiatives
that provide education, fitness, arts, and social experiences. These programs empower individuals with disabilities to pursue meaningful employment and lead more independent, fulfilling lives.
The mission of Inclusion Connections is to strengthen the lives of individuals with disabilities by creating inclusive opportunities for community involvement, access to meaningful employment, and better options for independent living.

Support Your Favorite Top Model Team
Each year, over 25 teams of Top Models grace our runway at FashionAbility! Each team consists of a community member paired with a young adult with developmental disabilities. These respected individuals have been using their influence and networks to advocate and fundraise to support their student partners. The Top Model team that raises the most funds for their campaign will be crowned ‘Top Model’ on the night of the gala.

Highlights from 2025
We are thrilled to share the incredible success of the 11th Annual FashionAbility Gala hosted by Inclusion Connections on February 15th, 2025! The event was once again sold-out thanks to the tremendous support from attendees & sponsors, including our presenting sponsor, UnitedHealthcare. Together, we raised an outstanding $912,010—surpassing last year’s total and making a significant impact!
Special thanks to our TOP MODEL campaigns for contributing over $200,000 to this achievement. With 700 attendees, the evening was filled with inspiration, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
The audience was moved by powerful stage performances, a heartfelt testimonial from Katie Pine, and the always entertaining (and hilarious!) runway presentations. We proudly presented Legacy Awards to Laura Uzzell and Kathy Winegar for their longtime service and dedication to Inclusion Connections. This signature annual event enables Inclusion Connections to continue our vital work in empowering individuals of all abilities.
